Care Provider Job Description

Supervisor:                  Program Director/Coordinator

Responsibilities:          To engage in a ministry of friendship with Participant, maintaining contact and visiting Participant to provide Participant focused spiritual, emotional, practical, and non-medical support.  To empower and support the Participant through prayer, encouragement and advocacy

Conduct:                     While performing this task, remember you are an ambassador of Christ.  Please refrain from using offensive language and making any derogatory remarks about others.  In personal conversations with Participant, other volunteers and/or staff, please avoid any inappropriate sexual connotations.  Interact with staff, participants and other volunteers.  Be courteous to and encourage staff, participants and other volunteers, sharing your knowledge with them if requested.  Always remember that your conduct while serving with HIV Care Link (HIVCL) reflects the attitude, philosophy and values of HIVCL and that its reputation in the community is dependent upon your words and actions.

Work Project Supervisor Job Description

Supervisor:                  Program Director/Coordinator

Responsibilities:          To periodically oversee and carry out Work Projects for HIV Care Link.  After receiving Work Project information (date, time, place, names of Participant and Volunteers), the supervisor will pick up any necessary supplies (moving truck, tools, etc.), meet Participant, sign in volunteers and oversee project.  Submit paperwork to HIV Care Link.

Care Provider Mentor Job Description

Supervisor:                  Program Director/Coordinator

Responsibilities:          Mentor Care Providers by maintaining contact and visiting with Care Provider, acting as a resource for any questions, comments, or concerns the Care Provider may have as they work with Participants.  Empowering the Care Provider through prayer and encouragement.  Facilitating initial meetings with Participant and Care Provider.  Act as liaison between Care Provider and Staff.
